EC Organic Regulation
The EC Organic Regulation defines uniform, minimum basic rules
for organic farming and the processing of organic food being marketed and advertised.
Marketing of organic products underlies a control procedure that is also defined in the
EC Organic Regulation. In European Member States, this control procedure is carried out by national
inspection bodies or inspection authorities.
